Hire German Oktoberfest Dancers
The Bavarian folk festival of Oktoberfest has been called "the biggest party in the world." Now the Gypsy Folk Ensemble can bring you the authentic experience of Oktoberfest at the Munich Hofbraühaus right here in the USA with a program of colorful and exciting German dances.

If you're looking for Oktoberfest dancers, it doesn't matter if you're throwing a private party, running a corporate event, a club function or even a large civic festival, we can provide the entertainment you need. Just grab your Lederhosen or Dirndl and lift a glass of Oktoberfest beer while our group performs folk dances from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

We'll put together waltzes, polkas, the German Schuhplattler, the Austrian Laendler and, of course, the Chicken Dance, to create just the right mood for an Oktoberfest celebration. So let everyone raise their Steins in a toast to the Oktoberfest spirit and sing out with the dancers "Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit!" Contact us now to hire dancers for your party, festival, company function or any German-themed event.

A bit of history...

Oktoberfest can trace its origins back to the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig of the Kingdom of Bavaria and Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen on October 12, 1810. The wedding celebrations started with a parade and went on for days, finally ending in a horse race. The parade and race were continued in subsequent years, an agricultural fair and costume exhibition were added, and in the late 19th century the Munich brewers made their appearance at Oktoberfest. Today more than six million people attend the Munich festival and manage to consume over a million and a half gallons of beer.

Gypsy has provided German dancers for the Alpine Village, Old World Village, Pasadena Pops, Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead and Los Angeles Oktoberfests. We've even traveled to Ensenada, Mexico for their Oktoberfest en Ensenada. Our dancers were also featured on an installment of the TV program NFL AM celebrating the Oktoberfest season.

If you are planning a get-together with a German theme or need some couples for a Polka Party, if you're a Senior Center or retirement home looking for Oktoberfest entertainment, or if you are organizing an Oktoberfest event for corporate entertainment, contact us now to hire dancers to make your celebration "etwas ganz Besonderes" (something really special). We are available for performances in Los Angeles, Orange County and other locales in Southern California.
